WARRANTY AND RETURNS - AUTOHELIX.EU

All products sold on AUTOHELIX.EU come with a receipt and/or tax invoice and a warranty certificate.

The legal warranty is provided in accordance with OUG no.140/2021 and OG 21/1992 (r2), which comply with EU Directive 1999/44/EC, and does not limit, ignore, or restrict the legal rights and legitimate interests of the buyer as provided by law.

The consumer must inform the seller of any defect found during the warranty period. The warranty applies to products with manufacturing defects. If a part cannot be repaired or replaced, its value will be refunded.

If the complaint about a lack of conformity is justified, the warranty operator will repair or replace the product within 15 calendar days for consumers as defined by law. For other cases, complaints will be resolved within 30 days.

Warranty for Replacement Products:

  1. If the complaint is made by a consumer, the replacement product will have a new warranty term according to the law.
  2. In all other cases, the replacement product will have a warranty period equal to the remaining warranty for the original product.

If a technical examination is required to determine the defect or its cause, the part will be sent to the manufacturer or an authorized technical body. The findings and resolution will be communicated within 15 days of receiving the expert report.


Warranty Conditions

AUTO PARTS WARRANTY:
Products sold by AUTO HELIX S.R.L. are interchangeable with original parts according to the catalogs and lists provided by manufacturers. Warranty applies if the parts are installed in a service center authorized by the Romanian Auto Registry (RAR).

Warranty Terms:

  • 24 months from the date of sale for replacement parts.
  • For products with a shorter average usage period (e.g., 3-4 months), the warranty period is reduced accordingly (e.g., car mats, wheel covers, windshield wipers, etc.).

Exclusions and Warranty Cancellation:
Warranty may be void in cases such as:

  1. Installation in a non-authorized service center.
  2. Incorrect installation or use with worn or defective parts.
  3. Use for purposes other than specified by the manufacturer.
  4. Failure to identify the correct part due to incorrect buyer information.
  5. Wear due to overuse or lack of proper maintenance.
  6. Vehicle usage outside manufacturer-recommended purposes (e.g., racing, taxi services).
  7. External damage (e.g., accidents, weather conditions).
  8. Damage from improper handling or misuse.
  9. Normal wear and tear.

For warranty claims, buyers must provide the following:

  1. Purchase invoice or receipt.
  2. Warranty certificate issued at the time of sale.
  3. Vehicle registration certificate.
  4. Installation invoice and proof of authorized installation.
  5. Diagnostic report from an authorized service center.
  6. Copy of the RAR authorization of the service center.
  7. Warranty claim form (provided by the seller, if applicable).

RETURNS POLICY

Right of Withdrawal
According to OUG 34/2014, consumers have a 21-day withdrawal period without providing any reason. This right applies only to consumers (individuals). Businesses are subject to different return policies and may not be eligible for returns or refunds.

Return Conditions:

  • The product must be in the same condition as delivered, in its original packaging, with all accessories and labels intact.
  • Return shipping costs are borne by the customer. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned product.
  • Used or old parts returned for replacement must be sent within 14 days in the original packaging.

Non-Refundable Returns:

  • Damaged packaging or missing labels.
  • Products not in their original packaging.
  • Missing original accessories or components.
  • Evidence of installation, painting, or welding.
  • Specially ordered or programmed parts.

Packaging for Returns:
Returned products must be securely packaged to prevent damage during transport. We recommend using the original packaging or adequate protective materials (e.g., bubble wrap, cardboard).

Liability for Transport Damage:
If a product is returned damaged due to inadequate packaging, we reserve the right to deduct up to 50% of the product's value from the refund as compensation for the damage.
